A Child’s Voice®

10-Week One-to-One Intervention Delivery Service

Professional Delivery Service | Ages 8–17 | Structured 10-Week Intervention

A Child’s Voice® offers a structured 10-week, one-to-one intervention programme for children and young people aged 8–17 who may benefit from additional support with emotional wellbeing, mental health, self-harm, suicidal thoughts and early identification of concerns.

Delivered by appropriately qualified professionals, the programme uses structured workbooks, guided activities, direct-work resources and supporting materials to help children and young people explore their feelings, develop emotional literacy, recognise risks and understand how to access appropriate support.

The intervention is designed to support early intervention and prevention, complementing existing safeguarding arrangements and wider support provided by schools, local authorities and other organisations. It is not a crisis intervention service and does not replace clinical assessment or specialist mental health care where required.

Who Is the Service For?

Our delivery service is designed for organisations supporting children and young people aged 8–17, including:

  • Schools, academies and multi-academy trusts.
  • Local authorities and Early Help services.
  • Family support and children’s services.
  • Safeguarding and pastoral teams.
  • Youth services and community organisations.
  • Organisations seeking structured early intervention for children experiencing emotional or mental health difficulties.

What Does the Intervention Cover?

  • A structured 10-week, one-to-one intervention tailored to the child or young person’s needs.
  • Guided use of the A Child’s Voice® workbook and supporting resources.
  • Activities to develop emotional literacy and help children express their feelings.
  • Support to explore emotional wellbeing, resilience and protective factors.
  • Guided work addressing concerns relating to self-harm and suicidal thoughts.
  • Activities to help children recognise risks, identify trusted adults and seek appropriate support.
  • Support to develop positive coping strategies and help-seeking skills.
  • Identification and escalation of safeguarding concerns in line with relevant procedures.
  • Consideration of individual needs, including neurodivergence and communication differences.
  • Appropriate signposting, referrals and liaison with the referring organisation where required and authorised.
